In December of 2006 I wrote my first Presidents message as the new president of the SKCPSA chapter.
December 2006 started out like this:
Well this is my first Presidents message as the newly elected president for the South King County PSA chapter.I am looking forward to this coming year and only hope I can fill the shoes of our former Presidents.
Terry Wiest most recently has left some big shoes to fill. I would like to thank him for all that he has done for our chapter. He has helped prepare us for and brought us into the future of our sport. He has gone above the norm to promote our chapter and our sport as a whole. Terry has always showed us his utmost respect for our sport and the industry it supports. We are very lucky to have him as a continuing board member, our new derby chairperson, and our webmaster.
And now I am writing my last
Will I hope did OK filling those shoes. It has been almost 12 years sense I took over as President. I have met some great people over those years and have had the opportunity to fish with many of them and can honestly say they are all my friends. Our membership has drug me along a grand journey and I will always remember everything about it.
We have seen some great years and some very challenging years. We have had some killer Derbies and some that almost did not happen!
But all in all we have prevailed as a club. Membership has gone up and down much like our fishing challenges.
I will be stepping down as the SKCPSA President and turning the helm over to one of the young guns of our Sport Sean Finney. Sean will be voted on at our September 20th Meeting. I wish him the best and trust he can lead us to the next Chapter of our club.
Thank you All for your support and friendship.
